I used to be an amateur billiard player back in Okayama, Japan myself, but in March 2006, I opened a billiard center called "ONE SIDE" in Manila, and that was what I had never thought of. The weather here is rather undesirable, and the players here are very concerned about the pools. Despite of the various difficulties in running a business in Manila, we have established into an international billiard center, attracting billiard players all over Manila and from around the world.

When I first opened my billiard center in Manila, I had the idea of providing people from around the world with the chance to get in touch with the "Mecca of the Billiards".

I would like to introduce the Pilipino billiard game to everyone. To achieve this, I have set up a safe, comfortable billiard center and educated the referees and security guards the Japanese way. We would like to offer a safe and comfortable place ideal for those who come here by billiard trips as well as business trips.

There is a billiard magazine in Japan called "CUE'S", in which our quality services and high-class customers have often been reported all together with the pools in the Philippines. Our coverage has welcomed amazement and compliments from many readers.

The Pilipino is not born to be excellent at billiards. In fact, there are players at various different levels playing billiards here at ONE SIDE, from the current world-champion R. Alcano and the successive champions E. Reyes and A. Pagulayan, to the young billiard players.

The Pilipino pools are very serious. Many have mentioned that overseas players who have visited ONE SIDE would always pay a visit to us again. To the cheerful Pilipino people, it is not only the winnings but also a good time at night that they would enjoy.

There are taxis waiting outside the airport, and those on the 2/F (departure) are highly recommended. You can reach there by walking up the stairs right outside the airport.

After you get on the taxi, tell the driver that you would like to get to the “Malate Mabini Hyatt Hotel” at 200 peso. If you do so, you will probably have a deal at 300 peso. Please be aware that if you do not have the exact fare, they will probably tell you that they have “no change”.

When you almost reach the Hyatt on Mabini road, just tell the driver to “Go straight a little more”. You will see our huge billboard after passing the traffic light. If it is hard to get across your message, get off the taxi in front of the Hyatt Hotel. Then, ask the hotel staff for “ONE SIDE BILLIARD”, and you can reach here by just a minute’s walk. We are here ready and waiting to serve you.
